A refined take on the Portuguese classic — tender flakes of salt cod layered with soft potatoes and sweet onions in a rich garlic cream sauce.
Finished at home with our aromatic lemon and parsley panko topping for a golden, crisp finish. Comforting, elegant, and unmistakably Portuguese.

Ingredients

Salt cod (bacalhau), potatoes, onions, garlic, cream, milk, butter, olive oil, flour, nutmeg, parsley, lemon zest, panko breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper

Reheating Instructions

Cook from frozen.
1️ Remove the sachet of lemon & parsley panko from the pack.
2️ Replace the lid on the oven-ready tin tray.
3️ Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (fan) for 25 minutes.
4️ Remove the lid, sprinkle the panko topping evenly, and bake for a further 10 minutes until golden and bubbling.
5️ Allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Serving suggestion:
Serve with a simple green salad or sautéed seasonal greens for a perfect balance of richness and freshness.
